Privacy Policy

Unamo is an AI assistant made by Instasize, Inc. (“Instasize,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information Unamo collects, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers unamo.ai, the Unamo app and Unamo’s text messaging program.
Information we collect
- Account information. Your name, email address and password, or what your Google account shares when you sign in with Google.
- What you give Unamo. The messages, instructions, files and photos you send, the tasks and schedules you set up, and the notes Unamo keeps to remember your preferences.
- Connected services. When you connect a service such as Stripe, Google or GitHub, we store the access it grants, encrypted, and handle the data Unamo reads or changes there to do what you ask.
- Phone number and texts. If you link a phone, we store the number, when you agreed to receive texts and the terms you agreed to, and the texts you exchange with Unamo.
- Usage and device information. Log data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you visit and when, and cookies, including the ones that keep you signed in and the analytics cookies described below.
How we use information
- To provide Unamo: carry out your requests, run your tasks and reply to you in the app and by text.
- To keep Unamo secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To support you and send you messages about your account and the service.
- To understand how Unamo is used and make it better.
- To meet our legal obligations.
AI processing
Unamo uses third-party AI models to understand your requests and write its responses. The content a request needs, such as your message and relevant data from your connected services, is sent to the model provider that processes it for us.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use Unamo. It uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you visit, the features you use, the links you follow, your browser and device, and your approximate location. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, it counts visits without cookies. We don’t use it to collect what you write to Unamo, your email address or phone number, or the data in your connected services.

How we share information
We don’t sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With service providers that run Unamo for us, such as cloud hosting, databases, AI model providers and our text messaging provider. They may use it only to provide their services to us.
- With the services you connect, when Unamo acts in them for you.
- With Google Analytics, as described under Analytics above.
- For legal reasons, when the law requires it or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or Instasize.
- In a business transfer, such as a merger or sale of assets, where this policy continues to apply to your information.
Text messaging
We use your phone number only to exchange texts with you about your use of Unamo, and never for marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information may be shared with subcontractors that support our services, such as our text messaging provider and customer service. All other categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving them, or remove your number under Text Unamo in the app. The texting section of our Terms has the full program terms.
How long we keep information
We keep your information while your account is open and as long as we need it to provide Unamo. After that we delete it or remove what identifies you, unless we must keep it to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or enforce our agreements. You can delete conversations, notes, connections and linked phones in the app at any time.
Security
We protect your information with measures such as encryption in transit and encrypted storage for the credentials of the services you connect. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee its security.
Your choices and rights
- You can update your account details and delete what you’ve saved in Unamo at any time.
- You can stop texts by replying STOP, and remove your number under Text Unamo.
- You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information by emailing privacy@instasize.com. Depending on where you live, such as California, you may have further rights, and we won’t treat you differently for using them.
Children
Unamo isn’t meant for children, and you must be at least 18 to use it. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
